Because of scoliosis, I’ve been going to chiropractor’s since I was a teenager. By far, Dr. Doouglas is the best! I even prayed before we moved here that God would lead me to the best chiropractor and he sure did. I have learned so much about diet, exercise, prevention and maintenance. He turns lightbulbs on all the time and reminds you of things you can do to stay healthy. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. We are blessed to have this wonderful Dr. in our community.!🙏😇😇😇

Dr. Timothy Douglass is one of the most skilled chiropractors. He helped me through two very painful and debilitating injuries. Allow me to explain:<br><br>The first was an injury that caused intense neck pain. I had a bulging disk at the C5 level. Dr. Douglass was able to open the space for the disk to go back into place. I was completely amazed at his skill in working with the innate wisdom of the body. I went from crying out loud in pain to a recovery so complete that I could build a house two years later.<br><br>The second time Dr. Douglass really assisted me was after I sustained a severe injury that caused incredible low back pain. Upon coming home from disaster relief I fell down a flight of stairs. The pain was so intense that the only way to keep out of pain was to lay completely flat on the floor without moving. I began seeking treatment from Dr. Douglass. He told me that, "I had one foot on a banana peel and the other under a surgeon's knife." Over the next several months, he was successfully able to keep me out of surgery and fully recover from my injury. His treatments were gentle and precise.<br><br>So, if someone were to ask me if I would recommend Dr. Timothy Douglass, I would answer without hesitation... YES!!! I was experiencing tremendous lower back pain from traveling by car for twelve hours. I was desperately seeking relief and found Dr Douglass driving by. We stopped and was told it would be next week. I said I could not possibly wait that long so they got me in the next morning. Dr Douglass spotted right away all my issues with my neck and lower back. I have seen him twice and am almost completely pain free!!! HE IS THE BOMB!!!

I was on vacation and in so much pain from a pinched nerve. Had to leave a message on Monday as office was closed. Received a callback Tuesday afternoon and an appointment on Wednesday and Thursday. Dr Douglas called to check on me Wednesday afternoon. Bonnie and Holly were very professional and so knowledgeable. I received a treatment both days and they helped me to understand how to best manage my pain until I can see my hometown chiropractic provider.

Staying active and playing pickle ball has recently brought me some back and leg pain. I just finished several sessions with Dr. Douglass, and the improvements and benefits are amazing! He really knows his business demystifies skeletal corrections, and impact on the body. On top of this, the care and attention to customer service is amazing! I have been under the care of various chiropractor’s for the last 25 years. Six months ago, I found Dr. Tim. He has done more for my health than any other chiropractor I have ever seen. It is so great to see and feel my body responding to his treatments. He is so professional and explains each treatment as we go. Very knowledgeable, caring, and welcoming. UPDATED Review Third Winter Season being treated by Dr. Tim Douglas and staff.<br><br>Continued 5 Stars and would rate higher if possible!<br><br>Tremendous staff that are authentically helpful, caring and compassionate.<br><br>Dr. Tim remains one of a kind, especially if you allow yourself to open up to his form of treatment. He combines body mechanical knowledge / techniques with both traditional low force movements and eastern medicine approaches, especially muscle pressure points, all done on his new Cox Flexion tables.<br><br>Most importantly, he LISTENS to his patients and he really puts his heart and energy into his treatments. The last two years, I have had 16-18 visits over our snowbird stay span to work on correcting my posture from years of driving / golfing / life, and it has been worth every penny. I breath better, sleep better, move better, and probably connect with everything better because I am not distracted by pain / muscle / joint aches as well as being better "optimized".<br><br>Please be aware, to get the most from Dr. Tim's treatments, you have to be willing to invest several / multiple visits. This is not a place to go in for a standard Palmer school "crack" and then return 2-3 months later when you "hurt" again. Instead, expect Dr. Tim to help relieve any significant / immediate pain, but then realize that you will be best served to get to the root of any problems (re-aligning posture, committing to exercises / stretches, etc) which can sometimes cause short-term aches / pains as your body is reshaped. But man is it worth it!<br><br>Of course, everyone's circumstances / needs and desires are different and I recognize what works for me might not be perfect for you. But I am highly confident that Dr. Tim will focus on you and your needs and not provide a cookie cutter treatment. In October, I was in an accident, and was recommended by a friend to see Dr. Douglas.<br>I cannot say enough, good things about him and the staff, Holly and Bonnie. The injury I sustained from my accident was far worse than I could’ve ever imagined.<br>With the help in treatment that I am receiving from Dr. Douglas, I know that my future pain will be minimal. I have been going to see Dr Douglass for over 5 years. He was the only chiropractor who fixed my daughters neck after a fall down the steps that cause slow blood and oxygen flow to her brain. Literally 10 minutes after he figured out a rotated disc under her atlas, she was alive again. She began to engage, and her awareness perked right up by the time we went 5 minutes down the road to Walmart. He is very well versed in a variety of areas including helping with nutrition and acupressure. I travel down to Destin Florida and had happened to need a chiropractor to keep up with what she was currently getting. But he performed a miracle that 8 chiropractors could not pull off. He is very intuitive as well as informative. His background was very impressive when I was looking for a doctor here in Destin. Here is a little about him. You will see why he is so good at what he does. Dr. Douglass has been a licensed Chiropractic Physician since 1991. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in Nutrition and Chemistry from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Honors in Research from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. In addition, he has completed postgraduate studies through Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, MA. I personally cannot say enough about how well read he is on health issues. He is currently fixing something on my daughter that has lingered from her fall. All the other chiropractors basically said she would have to live with it. But as soon as Dr Douglass examined her, he went for the pulse in her wrist. And low and behold there was basically no pulse going down the right arm. He said it was fixable and went to work on her. She is on day 2 and is already feels looser and her hand feels relaxed. She also said her sleep was so much better.<br>I would 100% highly recommend Dr Douglass. He is definitely The Right Kind of Doctor you want for your health!
Dr. Douglas and his crew have changed my life. Starting after a car accident in 2021, I came across this amazing practice and I can confidently say that I’ll be a life long patient of his for maintenance and adjustments. Not only do they improve your health, they teach you why they’re doing what they do. Once you understand how everything in your body is connected you truly begin to see the benefits in chiropractic care. Dr. Douglas and his amazing/kind team actually care about you as a person and you’ll soon be able to see that you’ve become family at his practice. I can’t say enough wonderful things. I don't write may reviews but Dr. Douglass has been the best chiropractor I have worked with in my life. He doesn't just put you thorough the adjustment motions. He makes the adjustments you need which can be different each visit and developed a program that helped me heal not just a 911 relief.

Best Chiropractor on the Gulf Coast! Dr. Douglas put me back together, after 2 auto accidents. The first one was in 2012, when I was rear-ended at 98 and Mathews Drive in Destin. I suffered a ruptured disk in my neck that tore halfway across. My Neurosurgeon was sure that it would tear all the way, and I would need surgery. Under Dr. Douglas' care, that never happened. He was my fifth Chiropractor, by the way. The first one died and the others were just not up to the job. I had another accident, in 2020. It was even worse - the dreaded T-Bone. It happened at the foot of the Brooks Bridge on Okaloosa Island, in November. My car was totaled and so was I. The airbag in my steering wheel almost broke my neck. The swelling in my neck was so bad that it was pushing down on the nerves leading to my right arm, and I couldn't lift it. The doctor in the Trauma Center thought I was paralyzed. I knew that this was a job for Dr. Douglas. He was the only doctor that treated me, and I was healed in less than 3 months. He even fixed my dislocated shoulder from a fall on a cruise ship in 2017, while treating me for the T-Bone accident. My Chiropractor in Texas failed to do this. I lived with Chronic Pain for 4 years, because of the dislocated shoulder. It was tiring and depressing. If not for Dr. Douglas, I am pretty sure that I would probably be in a wheel chair by now. His staff is awesome and the location is convenient. He even came in on Saturdays, to treat those of us with severe injuries. If Dr. Douglas ever retires, I will probably have to move!

I could tell when I first met Dr. Tim that he was different, he’s a chiropractor that cares about my health. This was very refreshing to me because some of the chiropractors I saw before cared much more about the billing schedules than my treatment and left me in bad shape physically. This has never been the case at Douglass Chiropractic. Dr. Tim has helped me tremendously. When I first sought his treatment I was in extreme daily pain, it was almost unbearable. Now I feel great! My condition does not prevent me from participating in any activities I want to, which is impressive considering I have scoliosis. Douglass Chiropractic will be my first choice next time I need treatment since Dr. Tim takes the time to achieve healing. I am without a doubt in better health because of the treatment I received. I love my newfound wellness and use it to make the most of every day I have in front of me.

Highly recommend trying Douglass Chiropractic. They do free, first-time consultations! The office is nice. They are very organized and quick. I never have to wait for my appointments. Dr Douglas is a spine whisperer if you need help with anything to do with your spine or back he can most likely help especially tall people. The best chiropractor ever. I lay down he tells me what's wrong with me with out me saying anything. I always leave taller and out of pain. WoW! is all I can say.

I love this place! I've been to quite a few chiro's and Dr. Douglass is the best! He helped me and and gave me hope when I was hopeless. Super careful and thoughtful with his recommendations. I've always feel like he takes his time and genuinely cares about my issues. You must pay attention when he talks though.... or you might miss something! :) It's like everything he says is a little gold nugget of useful information to help you recover and get well.
